CATL boasts the largest volume but 0 safety accidents: from year 2014 to 2017,
over 95,000 coaches equipped with CATL batteries saw 0 safety accidents.
Hierarchical performance of battery cell, 25ºC 1C-1C cycle life test showed:
Remaining capacity after 500 charging-discharging cycles, 92% for battery cell by Company B and 97% for that by CATL.
Remaining capacity after 1000 charging-discharging cycles, 80% for battery cell by Company B and 94% for that by CATL.
Conclusion: CATL battery cell has excellent cycle life under 25ºC condition.
Battery Cell Levels
At 0ºC , capacity retention rate of CATL is 97%, while that of Company B is 93%;
At 0ºC , power retention rate of CATL is 89%, while that of Company B is 86%;
At -30ºC , capacity retention rate of CATL is 89.8%, while that of Company B is 86.5%;
At -30ºC , power retention rate of CATL is 72.7%, while that of Company B is 69.8%;
Conclusion: CATL leads the industry in the aspect of low-temperature discharging, making it more
suitable for cold regions.
